Asset Tracking for Healthcare

Bed Management and Patient Flow Solutions

Next Generation
Bed Location Tracking & Management

Manual procedures of locating and managing beds within hospitals, care homes, clinics and other healthcare environments can result in a significant loss of productivity and reduce patient flow. It is not uncommon for Trusts to employ permanent staff to locate these assets which can prove costly and inefficient

Upon locating the required bed to carry out scheduled maintenance and cleaning it is also not unusual for the bed to be in use, which further consumes valuable time and resource.

In busy periods it is critical to reduce bed idle time and redeploy the bed for use in the shortest turn- around time, maximising patient flow. Recent events such as COVID-19 have also highlighted the importance of ensuring correct cleaning procedures are fulfilled and documented to reduce onward transmissions.

TracLogik has developed a suite of flexible solutions to overcome these challenges enabling hospitals to control and maximise bed utilisation effectively reducing overheads whilst significantly increasing productivity.

The scalability of the TracLogik solution is unlimited and can be expanded to incorporate medical devices and apparatus such as, syringe drivers, infusion pumps, hoists, wheelchairs, ventilators, CPAP machines, etc as required.

Which RTLS Technology is most suitable?

There are numerous technologies used in the asset tracking sphere; namely WiFiBluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and RFID.

The chosen technology for the deployment of a bed / asset tracking system should be driven by a number of considerations such as existing infrastructure, building architecture, ease of deployment and importantly, a measurable return on investment.

TracLogik is hardware agnostic and therefore able to seamlessly integrate any one or all of these technologies into a single intuitive asset management platform enabling an unbiased informed decision to be made as to the most suitable technology for a given deployment.

Improve Patient Flow at the Touch of a Button

TracLogik’s cloud-based software hides the complexity of RTLS technologies behind a concise intuitive user interface. Front line staff can quickly identify the location and status of a specific item or lists of assets in real-time. The software then enables staff to, for example, identify bed availability, improve patient flow, schedule maintenance and cleaning, identify bottlenecks and assign additional resource where required.

Unified Tracking

Monitor Hospital Cleaning & Maintenance Schedules

Key Benefits of Bed Management & Patient Flow
  • Enhances working practices – improve patient safety and experience with innovative patient flow technology
  • Reduces risks – remove paper-based processes and promote safer wards by sharing vital information in real-time
  • Improves the quality of care – enhance the patients’ experience of joined up care
  • Empowers frontline workers – improve communication and user engagement with access to up-to-date information in real-time
  • Reduces overall length of stay – minimise delays in the communications and activities across multidisciplinary teams
Endless customisation

Few of our customers have the same requirements. That’s ok – customisation is what we do.

Do you need to combine mutiple tracking technologies into a single interface? Bypass our system and pull location data into your own existing system? Leverage an existing investment and integrate something new? Or something else?
